Federal Judge James Robart ruled Friday night in a lawsuit in Washington state and Minnesota, causing the suspension of all actions related to President Donald Tump’s immigration order.
The judge said in the ruling that they “have met their burden of demonstrating that they faec immediate and irreparable injury as a result of the singing and implementation of the Executive Order.” In addition, Judge Robart said the order adversely affects residents in areas of education, employment, education and freedom to travel.
The Department of Homeland Security announced it has suspended all actions to implement the immigration order and said it will resume inspections of travelers as it did before the signing of the Executive Order. In addition, it has reversed the cancellation of visas that were revoked before, as long as they were not stamped or marked canceled.
