Up to $10,000 Available for American/DACA Study Abroad Students

Students who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA can apply for a scholarship of up to $10,000 to study abroad.

The Fund for Education Abroad will award scholarships to study abroad students who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or registered as DACA.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-2018 year and award amounts can be up to $10,000 per academic year ($5,000 fall/spring semester); prorated by no. of weeks, minimum $1,250 (summer).

Students must complete an application, a financial aid form, and have one faculty recommendation letter. The student must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university, the study abroad program must be eligible for credit at their university, and the study abroad program must be at least four weeks (30 days).

The deadline to apply is January 11, 2017 at 12 p.m. (EST).
