What's Being Said About International Students on Twitter

We realize not everyone has an open mind when it comes to international students. So we went to Twitter to see what others are saying.

UNITED STATES -We get so used to talking and working with people who have an open mind, appreciate international students, and advocate for them. Sometimes we forget there are people out there who don’t have the same viewpoint as us.

Like what most people do now, we looked to social media to see what’s being said about any topic. In this case, international students.

Most of the tweets #internationalstudents, #intlstudents or #foreignstudents were either about the United Kingdom or about the rising number of international students studying in the United States. These are the most interesting tweets we found.

A lot of tweets were about languages and speaking English

Obviously the last couple of tweets are stereotypical, but from our quick research these were the worst ones found. Doesn’t mean there aren’t more out there, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were almost scared to look.

Our team will keep an eye out there on social media to see what’s being said about international students.
